Accounting Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our growing organization. The candidate will have experience as an Office Manager overseeing day-to-day operations, such as ordering field and office supplies, processing expense reports, preparing and validating employee timesheets, processing A/P and A/R activities using QuickBooks, as well as monthly/yearly financial record reporting to CPA firm. Our ideal candidate has worked closely with and assisted a business owner with running the company’s daily operations. Due to access of sensitive data this position will require an extensive credit and criminal background check before an offer is made.
Role Profile – Financial:
- Responsible for AP/AR, management, and analysis of general ledger accounts and reconciliation
- Setup new vendors and suppliers to include credit terms
- Coordinate with vendors and clients to resolve account discrepancies
- Assist with negotiations on financial/contract matters, i.e., leases, equipment purchases, etc.
- Monitor company banking relationships, credit lines and credit cards and make recommendations
- Assist with processing payroll through designated provider and perform month-end or year-end closing
- Collaborate with CPA Firm on tax matters, discrepancies, etc.
- Prepare 1099’s and work with leadership to ensure W2s from payroll company are correct
- Prepare weekly reports and participate in regular meetings with leadership
- Prepare, file and remit taxes not handled by CPA firm
Role Profile – Administrative:
- File and archive documents
- Oversee hiring process to include: develop or update job profiles, job posting, screen candidates, conduct interviews, hiring negotiations and onboarding
- Prepare and submit a wide variety of correspondence for clients and vendors
- Manage and revise vendor profiles and maintain client files, financial records and archives
- Responsible for managing new and renewal of business licenses and employee-derived certifications
- Responsible for developing or updating company policies and/or procedures as necessary
- Responsible for responding to and gathering information from potential, unsolicited clients via web or calls
Preferred Requirements:
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion
- Expert level knowledge of QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Experience working with Land Surveying, Real Estate or Construction firms a plus
- Must have strong mathematical skills for accounting and financial reporting
- Knowledgeable of payroll principles
- Organized, detail-oriented person capable of prioritizing workload, interacting pleasantly with customers over the phone and working diligently without being micro-managed
- Communicate professionally both via phone and email
- Perform work with an attention to details while exhibiting a sense of urgency
- Be self-motivated to conduct online research to solve problems and learn
- Have a creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Excellent problem solving, research and analytical skills
- Be a notary and maintain notary certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or job-related field
- Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Minimum of 4 years of office management

CAD Specialist
Role Profile
- Experience converting all applicable field information into electronically generated CAD drawings with accuracy, neatness, and speed
- Prepare project deliverables in accordance with the client requirements and company design standards
- Validate existing plats for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting project plots/plans for review
- Capable of utilizing workflow tools (Asana) to communicate the timely progress and/or impediments on each project with leadership
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, fellow employees and leadership, as well as other business partners related to Meridian Geomatics services & overall business
- Represent the company in a positive, safe, ethical, and professional manner in accordance with all Meridian Geomatics policies, procedures, and work directives
- Because this role is bonus-driver, must be accountable for maximizing the performance of field personnel:
- Responsible for being the primary point of contact with clients throughout project engagement
- Direct the daily project activities of field personnel to collect on-the-ground survey data to complete production of various surveys as directed and in a timely manner
- Empowered to resolve client issues and field crew challenges in a prompt and tactful way
- Submit weekly time sheets in required system of record to document time and tasks performed
- Submit monthly expense reports in required system of record to document approved expenses
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency utilizing software such as: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel; Adobe Acrobat & Asana
- Capable of being dependable and following through on assignments

Field Crew Leader
Role Profile:
- Responsible for directing the daily activities of a two-to-three-person Field Survey Crew in the collection of on-the-ground survey data to produce various land surveys as directed and in a timely manner
- Perform calibration checks, calculations, and other basic arithmetic to ensure accuracy of survey data and complete the field work
- Keep complete and accurate Field Notes to document surveying work performed and upload daily all Field Notes, Photos, Files in required system upon work completion
- Communicate timely progress and/or impediments on each project with leadership and CAD Specialist
- Because this role is bonus-driver, must be accountable for maximizing the performance of field personnel:
- Responsible for being the primary point of contact with clients throughout project engagement
- Direct the daily project activities of field personnel to collect on-the-ground survey data to complete production of various surveys as directed and in a timely manner
- Empowered to resolve client issues and field crew challenges in a prompt and tactful way
- Communicates job-related performance to leadership on assigned field personnel
- Submit weekly time sheets for self and entire assigned crew in required system of record to document personnel capacity, time and tasks performed
- Submit monthly expense reports in required system of record to document approved expenses
- Responsible for possession, maintenance, and operation of all assigned equipment and usage of fleet vehicle(s) and communication of maintenance needs or equipment requests
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience as a Field Crew Leader or Crew Chief in the land surveying field
- Ability to perform work outdoors, year-round and in various weather conditions.
- Capable of operating a variety of surveying equipment, such as: GPS, total stations, and data collectors
- Ability to move between standing, sitting or squatting positions and the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, fellow employees and leadership, as well as other business partners related to Meridian Geomatics services & overall business
- Represent the company in a positive, safe, ethical, and professional manner in accordance with all Meridian Geomatics policies, procedures, and work directives
- Possessing an active Georgia driver license, violation free with current auto insurance
- Proven ability to serve as an effective leader, motivator, and manager

- Experience in any type of surveying — land, civil, industrial, construction layout, residential, etc.

Field Survey Specialist
Role Profile:
- Responsible for assisting the Field Crew Leader in the operation of all field survey requirements
- Capable of operating equipment to accurately and efficiently locate and collect field data
- Record accurate and clear surveying notes before the end of each survey project
- Responsible for cutting and clearing underbrush for surveying needs, as well as setting and documenting wooden stakes and/or iron rods
- Ensure that work vehicle is stocked with necessary survey supplies for next day utilization
- Assist with scheduling maintenance needs or equipment request as directed by the Survey Field Crew Leader
- Submit weekly time sheets in required system of record to document time and tasks performed
- Submit monthly expense reports in required system of record to document approved expenses
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to perform work outdoors, year-round and in various weather conditions
- Capable of carrying survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban terrain and surroundings
- Ability to move between standing, sitting or squatting positions and the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently
